Undergraduate Student: Communication Sciences and Disorders, minoring in Human Development and Family Studies and Spanish

My name is Callie O'Brien and I am in my junior year here at Penn State. I am from Scranton, PA. I am majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a double minor in Human Development and Family Studies, and Spanish. After I complete my bachelor's degree, I plan on pursuing my Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. My overall goal is to work with children in either a school or clinical setting.

Project Summary:

This summer I will be traveling to Granada, Spain to research adults speaking Spanish as a second language, and also native speakers. I am interested in researching clitic placement to gather information on if L2 speakers (both brief and long immersion) show the same variable patterns as native speakers, and what that implies about their level of proficiency.
