Biography:

Christina Ellis is an 18-year-old African-Caribbean American college student and activist. She is a Second Year at Penn State, pursuing a career as an OB/GYN. With her major in Spanish, she hopes to become a Certified Medical Interpreter to communicate with her patients one-on-one. Outside of academics, Christina is a member of No Refund Theatre and The Penn State Thespians Society.

The project I and another PIRE student, Owen Golden, are working on with Dr. Giuli Dussias’s lab is studying the Predictability of Language using 3 tasks; Eye Tracking, Category Fluency, and Picture Naming. With our PIRE partner, University of Granada, with Professor Bajo we will continue this study with those who are Spanish Speakers.
