Biography:
My name is Jason Giovagnoli and I am from Scranton, Pennsylvania. I'm 20 years old and currently studying at the Pennsylvania State University. I enjoy learning foreign languages and playing the cello.
Project Summary:
I am travelling to Nijmegan, The Netherlands and to see how L2 learners of English perceive an ambiguous sound in a foreign accent. We will see how Dutch L1 learners perceive different vowel sounds, some that are easy to distinguish (E - I) and some that are hard to distinguish (æ - E) by manipulating 2 talkers' voices and vowels.
