Biography:
I am a second year graduate student in Spanish Linguistics and Language Science working with Dr. Marianna Nadeu and Dr. Rena Torres Cacoullos. In early summer 2015 I will visit the University of Granada and consult with Dr. Teresa Bajo. My main research interests include the study of linguistic variation and change and phonetic accommodation. In Granada I will collect data from speakers of Argentinian Spanish and Andalusian Spanish as they engage in collaborative tasks and short sociolinguistic interviews. This data for acoustic analysis of fundamental frequency and intonation will help inform studies of the phonetic consequences of bilingualism.
