Biography:

I am currently a 5th year graduate student working with Drs. Giuli Dussias & Chip Gerfen in the Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. My research focuses mainly on the auditory comprehension of codeswitching, a bilingual linguistic skill involving the alternation between languages in discourse. Recently, I've been working on a project using eye-tracking to investigate how bilinguals use grammatical gender in Spanish-English codeswitching. In addition, I am interested in how bilinguals' linguistic experiences and language use modulate the way they comprehend speech. Outside of the lab, I enjoy cooking, reading, and since my move up to Central PA, cross-country skiing.
