Biography:

I am a junior at University Park Campus studying Elementary and Early Childhood Education with a minor in Spanish. My fascination with linguistics and language acquisition has led me to specialize in the teaching of bilingual and multilingual students through the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages certificate. Currently, I am an intern for the Teaching Elementary Science Leadership Academy where I partner with a local science center to provide quality STEAM experiences to children. Outside of the academic world, I am an explorer at heart. Much of my free time is spent rock climbing, biking, and hiking out in nature.

Project Summary:

Various research studies have previously investigated how humans handle ambiguity in auditory language. My research project aims to continue this work by examining the impact of cognitive control activation on bilingual adults' interpretation of language ambiguities. Through this research, my team hopes to develop a deeper understanding of second language acquisition.
