I am a junior, from New Jersey.
Project Summary:
I will be travelling to Palenque, Colombia where they speak Spanish and Lengua Palenquera, their creole language. I will be testing language proficiency in Lengua Palenquera and Spanish. Then I will test their cognition through tests such as the Simon task. The purpose of this study is to determine if bilingualism increases cognitive ability and executive control.
