Biography:

I am a 4th year student at Penn State pursuing a dual title Ph.D. degree in German Applied Linguistics and Language Sciences. Before coming to Penn State, I attended Texas Tech University, where I received a B.A. in German, and Master’s degrees in German and Applied linguistics. My current research focuses on the intersection between sentence processing, the acquisition of German case-markers, prosody, and language pedagogy. This spring I will work with Dr. Holger Hopp at the University of Mannheim, where we will conduct eye-tracking research to investigate whether L2 speakers of German use case-markings to predict upcoming nouns in simple sentences.
