Biography:
Hello, my name is Owen Golden. I'm currently in my third year at Penn State, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Spanish. Outside of school, I dedicate time to volunteering at Missy’s Cookies, a local bakery in my hometown. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, playing sports, and traveling.
This summer I will be conducting research with Dr. Teresa Bajo at the University of Granada in Spain, examining the impact of the strength of word associations on the prediction of future sentence direction by focusing not only on eye movements but also on word association strength. By putting particular emphasis on this, it will hopefully demonstrate the importance of word association pathways, over confidence, age, and vocabulary size. This will allow future studies to better understand the lexical and semantic network and build off of this concept.
