Biography:
My name is Rachel Leo, and I am a freshman studying Spanish and CSD. On campus, I’m involved in the Penn State Mock Trial Association and Volé Dance Company. Outside of academics and co-curricular activities, I enjoy spending time in nature, traveling, and being active.
This summer I will be conducting research in Puerto Rico to investigate how inclusive language (specifically the singular pronouns they/them) is understood in second-language speakers of English. This research ultimately aims to understand how language is processed and to foster a linguistically inclusive future.
