Biography:
I'm currently a freshman from York, Pennsylvania majoring in math, Spanish, and premedicine. I hope to go on to medical school to become a practicing medical professional. I've been involved in debate since high school, and am currently involved in the Penn State speech and debate society as well as PSU Quiz Bowl.
I'm traveling to Tarragona, Spain to study how the complexity and opacity of a speaker's L1 orthography affects their learning of L2 orthography of varying complexity.
