Biography:

My name is Yaquelyn (Jah-Keh-Lean), I'm a first-year undergraduate student at Pennsylvania State University majoring in Economics with a minor in International Engineering. I have been a research assistant in Dr. Jackson's lab since the Fall of 2022. I like to hike and explore new places with my Bichon Poodle.

Project Summary

I am working with my partner (another PIRE fellow), McKenzie Waslosky, to figure out how forcing learners to make predictions about upcoming input increases priming in Polish college students learning English as a second language. My goal is to test the hypothesis that arises from error-based learning accounts and that increased engagement in prediction leads to increased learning.
